Update of radio type approval guidelines in Jordan

The final version of Guidelines for terms and procedures for obtaining approval for telecommunications equipment and regulating its import to Jordan has recently been issued 

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan published the final version of Guidelines for terms and procedures for obtaining approval for telecommunications equipment and regulating its import. The Guidelines contain several new provisions. 

First, the validity of newly issued TRC type approval certificates was prolonged from 1 to 3 years. Second, the TRC type approval number does not have to be included in the product label anymore. This means that the product label will have to contain only the following information: 

– the name and address of the manufacturer 

– brand, model, type and commercial name of the product 

– (for devices with cellular module only) IMEI number
