New CCC products catalogue

The list of products subject to the CCC certification was updated. 

The Chinese market supervision authority State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) published recently an updated and consolidated catalogue of products subject to the CCC certification. 

The original 21 categories comprising 137 products were reduced to 17 categories with 103 products. Besides, two new subcategories were added (power supplies and brake linings). 

The newest version of the CCC product catalogue reflects the latest changes in the affected CCC product scope.  Normally, products are added or removed from the list in many separate CNCA announcements.  Therefore, it was necessary to consolidate the recent changes in the harmonized catalogue. 

The catalogue also shows which of the products are subject to the CCC self-declaration and which to the regular CCC certification.  For example, from the automotive products, only brake linings and tyres are subject to the regular CCC certification – all other (e.g. seat belts, lighting, seats etc.) undergo the CCC self-declaration process.
