New Certificate of Registration (CoR) Scheme

Iraq is preparing for the implementation of the Certificate of Registration (CoR) Scheme for manufacturers and suppliers 

A subsidiary of the Ministry of Trade in the Republic of Iraq, the State Company for Iraqi Fairs and Commercial Services has announced the implementation of the Certificate of Registration (CoR) Scheme for manufacturers and suppliers.  

The Scheme started on the 1 October 2020 with a 3-months grace period. Afterwards, there will be a gradual implementation, depending on the product category (for example on 1 January 2021 for electrical products and on 1 May 2021 for vehicles and spare parts). 

The CoR will be a mandatory pre-requisite to obtain the Import License in the Republic of Iraq. 

The aim of the CoR scheme is to authenticate the credibility of manufacturers and suppliers wanting to export to Iraq.
