Updated radio type approval in Kuwait

Kuwait recently released a new resolution regarding the type approval of telecommunication devices.  

The resolution was published by the Kuwaiti Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) and makes several changes to the existing radio type approval regulations in Kuwait.

Among the changes are:

• Update of the technical requirements and standards for telecommunication equipment.
• An extension of the validity period of type approvals from 1 to 3 years.
• A new time frame for renewals, from 3 months before to 20 days after expiration.
