New import regulations in Uganda

Today Uganda published three new import regulations.

The new regulations are: Market Surveillance and Enforcement of Compulsory Standard Specification Regulations 2021, Inspection and Clearance of Imports Regulations 2021 and Certification Mark Regulations 2021.

These regulations contain provisions on conformance to compulsory standard specification, non-conformance to compulsory standard specifications, market surveillance inspections, provisions on inspection and clearance of imports as well as provisions on certification process and a schedule of certification mark permit fees.
