Austria as a pioneer in ISO certification for AI and ethics

Austrian Standards, the organization for standardization and innovation, will launch the first program in Europe for people to get certified as Value-based Engineering Ambassador for Ethical AI.

The program includes a four day long course, which will prepare the participants for the certification exam. The certificate is based on the worlds’ first standard for ethical system design (ISO/IEC/IEEE 24748-7000) and the standard on Management for AI (ISO/IEC 42001).

The goal of the standard for ethical system design (ISO/IEC/IEEE 24748-7000) was to establish digital technologies in a socially acceptable and sustainable way in the society. Participants of the course and the certification will be able to recognize and interpret company-specific AI use cases with the help of value-based engineering.
