Understanding and living the fundamental values are essential in self-organization
But what exactly is a moderator supposed to do?
This was the question a client asked us when we accompanied him and his organization during the introduction of the new self-organized way of working.
To answer this question, we designed an interactive “Moderator Coaching” workshop series for the team. In these workshops, moderation techniques and methods were jointly developed to promote transparency in meetings or to support tension-based work by providing constructive feedback. Knowledge and understanding of the circle meeting, the basic principles or the constitution were not only deepened with fun, e.g. by a Jeopardy quiz, but were also tested in a relaxed atmosphere.
In the workshops, we were always aiming to strengthen the comprehension of the values of self-organization so that the moderators can act as multipliers even beyond the team.
