End of transition period for verification of conformity

In Morocco, the tolerance period for products subject to verification of conformity in country of export ends on 1 January 2021.

The Moroccan authorities announced officially that the tolerance period for products subjected to verification in country of export will end on 1 January 2021. Starting from that day, all industrial products subject to verification on conformity in the country of export must present a certificate of conformity from an accredited body in order to get a clearance at destination.


New Certificate of Registration (CoR) Scheme

Iraq is preparing for the implementation of the Certificate of Registration (CoR) Scheme for manufacturers and suppliers

A subsidiary of the Ministry of Trade in the Republic of Iraq, the State Company for Iraqi Fairs and Commercial Services has announced the implementation of the Certificate of Registration (CoR) Scheme for manufacturers and suppliers.


EU-Vietnam FTA and remanufactured products

The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement came into force on the 1 August 2020. It contains, among others, some facilitations for the import of remanufactured products

The EU-Vietnam agreement is the most comprehensive trade agreement the EU has concluded with a developing country. Many important EU export products, such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals or machinery will already enjoy duty free import conditions as of entry into force. The FTA also contains specific provisions to address regulatory barriers for EU car and vehicle spare parts exports.

New 2022 Edition of Harmonized System (HS)

The World Customs Organization published amendments to the Harmonized System on 29th January 2020. 351 sets of amendments in total are expected to enter into force on 1st January 2022

On 29th January 2020, the World Customs Organization WCO released the 7th Edition of its Harmonized System (HS) nomenclature used for the uniform classification of goods traded internationally
