New list of products subject to ANATEL
Public consultation on the list of products subject to the new radio type approval procedure has been announced
The Brazilian telecommunication authority ANATEL has announced a public consultation upon the list of products subject to the new radio type approval procedure. Already in October 2019, ANATEL published the Resolution 715 which updated conformity assessment and approval processes for telecommunication products (see our previous insight). However, at that time implementing acts were missing. Several of them have been published over the last weeks and, finally, also the list of affected radio products has been announced.
The list comprises different categories of equipment, such as (but not limited to):
antennas, energy accumulators (batteries), optical and fibre cables, data transmission cables, mobile phone chargers and lithium batteries, broadcasting equipment, RF equipment, passive optical equipment or terminal equipment. The list also defines which products will have to undergo a certification of conformity and which require a declaration of conformity.
The list will enter into force 180 days after its publication. The public consultation is available under the following link.
