EU public consultation on Euro 7 closes soon
Only a couple days are left until the European Commission’s public consultation on the Euro 7 emission standard closes
The public consultation on a possible review of the current Euro 6/VI emission standards which started on the 6 July 2020 is coming to an end. Stakeholders can submit their views only until 9 November 2020.
With the European Green Deal, the European Commission has set out a new growth strategy that will foster the transition to a climate-neutral, resource-efficient, competitive and zero-pollution economy in Europe. To this end, the Commission launched preparatory work to support the evaluation and a possible review of the current Euro 6/VI emission standards framework for cars, vans, lorries and buses.
Especially the following stakeholders are asked to submit their views:
- Member States and national authorities, including those responsible for approval, at different governance levels (national, regional and local);
- Automotive industry: Businesses, including supply chain, and associations active in the car, van, lorry or bus industry;
- Consumer organisations;
- Environmental NGOs;
- Other stakeholders (e.g. research community, international organization);
The opinions can be submitted on a dedicated EU website: link.
