New GB standards for vehicles in China
China published for comments several new draft standards for road vehicles.
China recently published three new draft standards for road vehicles. They are open for comments until 1 May 2021. The standards are:
GB 16897—20XX National Standard of the P.R.C., Brake Hose — Structure, Performance and Test Methods
GB15084—20XX National Standard of the P.R.C., Motor Vehicles-Devices for Indirect Vision-Requirements of Performance and Installation
GB 13057—202X National Standard of the P.R.C., The Strength of The Seats and Their Anchorages of Passenger Vehicles
Moreover, China recently approved the standard GB 19578-2021 Fuel consumption limits for passenger cars. It applies to vehicles powered primarily by gasoline or diesel and will take effect on July 1, 2021. The fuel consumption defined in the standard will be measured according to Worldwide harmonized Light duty Test Cycle (WLTC) for more realistic results.
