For example in an automotive context, we identify the right reference vehicles – those that give the best representation of the overall portfolio or variance. We can subsequently use these defined reference vehicles to calculate the profitability of entire model series.

With the help of a comprehensive material cost management system, we break down product costs into individual parts. The specific challenge is to handle different maturity levels of components at each point of the product development process.
